map fiber map a huge rrlly protesting the governor's proposed state pension reform is set for today in annapolis.leading the fight, is the american federation of state, county and municiple employees. employees.megan gilliland is ballimore with more on what they're fighting for. for.good mmrning patrice, afscme is calling this the, looks like many people have had enough.at least five thousand people are expected pr. protest.they're upset with the governor's proposal... ttat says state workers would have to mmke a choice now... to either pay more into their reeirement... or more for theer benefits.right now, our state pension fund is about 19-billion dollars short of what it neees to sustainn payouts for stateeretirees. governor o'malley says something has to be done because the current system is simply unsussainable.

anyone withhinformation about gardner is asked to call 9-1-1. it's been three days... since an 8-point-9 magnitude death toll is still rising this morning.japanese police have found another one- thousand bodies..which doubles the official death toll... of more than 16--undred.this news comes.. as another explosion at a badly damaged nuclear power plant injures several more people.it's the second eeplosion there since saturday. government's response and he international community's pledge for humanitarian aid. 3 plumes of thick white smoke over the fukushima daiichi (foo-koo-shee-mah die-eee-chee) nuclear power plant on monday.the blast is the second at that facility since saturday.radiation levell outside the plant remain elevated...but the japanese government says the radiation released in the blasts doesn't pose an immediate safeey or health aren't so sure.i'm due to give birthhsoon. i want to know exactll what is going on at

the nuclear plant. i'm scared. experts say the threat of a meltdown is still very real, despite ongoiig efforts to &pcool the reactor's core with sea water.it's a taak made eeen harder because the earthquake knocked out the facility's electricity and the massive tsunami flooded its backup generators.supposedly, they had battery back-ups. they generally have on site electrical geeeration. but what happened with that tsunami, i have no idea. i mean, we never anticipatee thh tsuuami.meanwhile, as the search for survivors continues, japan's prime minister made a plea for strength to his people.i am confident theejapanese people can be united to wwrk together to favor this difficulty.. nearly 70 countrres around the world have pledged to dedicate hardest hit cities.i'm greg black reporting.
